Tongits is played by three players using a standard 52-card deck. The dealer gets 13 cards; the other two players receive 12 each. One card is placed face-up to start the discard pile.
On your turn, draw a card from either the draw pile or the discard pile. Then lay down valid sets or sequences (called "melds") from your hand, and discard one card to end your turn.
You can lay down sets (three or more cards of the same rank) or runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit). You can also "burn" — add a card to an opponent's existing meld.
If you empty your entire hand — no cards remaining after a discard — you declare Tongits! This is an automatic win regardless of other players' points, and comes with a special bonus payout on jilibbb.
Any player may call a draw when they believe they have the lowest unmelded card value in hand. All players show their remaining cards — the player with the lowest total wins the round.
